  • Kalaripayattu does not have a strict minimum fitness requirement to start learning. However, since it is a physically demanding martial art, a basic level of mobility and endurance can be helpful.

    If you have any injury or limitation in mobility, you may consult with our Guru first before starting training.

    No matter what your fitness level is, Kalaripayattu will allow you to improve your existing capabilities while developing more strength, flexibility and balance.

  • No, Kalaripayattu is open to all, whether you’re a complete beginner or have experience in other martial arts. Our training will help you build skills step by step.

  • Wear comfortable, flexible clothing that allows free movement. Wearing dark coloured clothes is preferred as it is customary to massage in sesame oil over the body before practice, which may stain light coloured clothes.

  • Yes! Children, adults, and even seniors can train at their own pace. The practice can be adapted to suit different fitness levels.

  • Absolutely! The practice enhances mindfulness, discipline, and mental clarity while reducing stress through movement and breathing techniques.
