Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Medicated Steam Bath?

It’s a therapeutic steam session using herbal decoctions, taken after deep tissue massages. The steam helps open the pores, allowing toxins to be expelled and promoting faster lymphatic drainage and circulation.

Why is it done after massage?

After a deep massage like Abhyangam or Chavitti Thirummu, your body’s channels are already activated. The steam bath amplifies detox, enhances oil absorption, and supports the body’s natural cleansing process.

What herbs are used in the steam?

The decoction varies but commonly includes Vettiver, Tulsi, Neem, Turmeric, and other traditional herbs known for anti-inflammatory and cleansing properties.

Who is it ideal for?

It is recommended for:

  • Anyone undergoing a Kalari-Marma therapy
  • Those with sluggish circulation or fluid retention
  • People wanting a gentle detox boost without internal medication
How long does it last?

A session usually lasts 15 minutes. It’s brief but effective, leaving you feeling light, clear, and refreshed.
